CLAY TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT) — Steven Johnson, of Clay Township, has been identified as the man found dead wrapped in plastic at Browns Nursery in Clay Township, Monday.
The body of Johnson, 47, was located near the intersection of Baltimore-Phillipsburg Road and Arlington Road, in Clay Township, OH. He likey died previous to being placed in plastic as a result of blunt force trauma to the head, according to the coroner’s office.
A Browns Nursery employee discovered the body “wrapped in plastic,” several thousand feet off Arlington Road on nursery grounds, Sgt. M.D. Hutchinson of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.
Police are not sure how long the body had been in the field.
An autopsy is to be performed Tuesday.
“The body was found wrapped in some items and we’re going to remove it just as we found it to preserve any evidence that could possibly be contained inside those items,” Hutchison said. source
