NM Arrest: 21-Year-Old Leland Hust In Rio Rancho Death Of 6-Year-Old Ariana “Jade” Romeo

RIO RANCHO, NM. (THECOUNT) — Rio Rancho police have arrested Leland Hust, as a suspect in the August death of 6-year-old Ariana “Jade” Romeo.

Captain Ron Vigil, a spokesman for the Rio Rancho Police Department, said they have arrested 21-year-old Hust.

Ariana was found dead in a home she had been staying in with her mother on the 200 block of Moonstone, near NM 528 and Northern NE, in Rio Rancho. The home was in disarray and her body was found on a foam mattress covered in blood. source

He said Hust was going to be booked into the Sandoval County Detention Center Friday night. It was not immediately clear what charges Hust is facing or how he is related to the little girl.
