QUEENS, NY. (THECOUNT) — A beloved performer who went by the sobriquet “Ms. Colombia” has been identified as the man found dead at Jacob Riis Park Promenade, in Queens, NY, police sources and a local councilman said Thursday.
The body of Osvaldo Gomez, 64, known for dressing in colorful outfits was found about 3:30 a.m. near Beach 149th St. in Queens.
There were no apparent signs of trauma and he is believed to have drowned.
Foul play is not suspected in the death.
