COLLEGE STATION, TX. (THECOUNT) — A gold Omega Seamaster Texas A&M Distinguished Professor model wristwatch was recovered along with other items during a College Station traffic stop Tuesday.
College Station Police say, while making contact with Devin Hearld, of Houston, during a routine traffic stop, officers found him to be in possession of the limited timepiece as well as an Aggie ring, circa 1950s.
Personal engravings on the several of the stolen items had been scratched off.
Police also found a “backpack full of guns,” in the vehicle while conducting the Harvey Road, “headlights off,” traffic stop.
Hearld, 23, was arrested in College Station with the stolen Aggie ring, an engraved Aggie watch, and a backpack full of guns after being pulled over late Tuesday on Harvey Road. source
Officers gained access to Hearld’s vehicle after detecting the odor of raw marijuana.
All of the items recovered in the incident had previously been reported stolen.
Hearld was charged with four counts of theft and one charge of tampering with personal property.
It was not clear if the items made their way back to the owner.
