NC Shooting “Feet Away” From Elementary School, Greensboro Staff “Not Informed” Thus “No Lockdown?”

GREENSBORO, NC. (THECOUNT) — A shooting that occurred only “feet away” from a grammar school in Greensboro, North Carolina, did not prompt a lockdown on the campus because according to school officials, they did not received a heads-up from law enforcement that the event was even occurring.

According to first responders, an “accidental” shooting occurred directly across the street from Archer Elementary School at 10:49 a.m., during the learning facility’s hours of operation.

The school is located at, 2610 Four Seasons Blvd, Greensboro, NC.

Greensboro police told local reporters that the shooting was “possibly an accident,” where “someone suffered a gunshot wound.”

School officials said that law enforcement did not inform them of the shooting and, as such, the facility never initiated a lockdown procedures.

Police refused to released further details citing that the incident was of a “potentially accidental nature.”
