LUBBOCK, TX. (THECOUNT) — A shocking attempted kidnapping case is developing out of Lubbock, Texas, after authorities say they arrested a 13-year-old male Friday in connection to the September 11 attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl.
Detectives with the Lubbock Police Department Crimes Against Children Unit made the arrest of a 13-year-old suspect who is accused of the attempted kidnapping of a girl, 15, in the 7200 block of Avenue West in Lubbock, TX.
After the girl escaped the ordeal, she provided a description of the suspect to authorities who then compiled a composite sketch with the approximate likeness, as well as video evidence from the scene.
Near two weeks later police were able to develop a positive identification of the suspect, a 13-year-old male. He was taken in custody Friday, September 28.
Around 8:30 p.m., on Tuesday, September 11, LPD officers after a male reportedly tried to abduct the girl. source
