BAXTER SPRING, KS. (THECOUNT) — Gabriel Gaither Gilmore, of rural Columbus, has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Highway 166, in Baxter Springs, KS.
Gilmore, 42, was traveling on Highway 166 and Southeast 82nd Terrace, in Baxter Springs, at around 4:00 am on Sunday, when the fatal crash occurred.
The victim was operating a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500, when for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a ditch and struck a culvert, causing the vehicle to rollover and the driver to be ejected.
Gilmore was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma as a result of his crash injuries.
September 30, 2018, emergency personnel were dispatched to a one-vehicle rollover crash east of Baxter Springs near Southeast 82nd and Highway 166. The preliminary investigation indicates Gabriel Gaither Gilmore, 42, of rural Columbus, was traveling westbound on Highway 166. source
There were no other occupants of the vehicle.
