PENSACOLA, FL. (THECOUNT) — Authorities have identified the driver killed in an overnight crash in Pensacola, Florida, as Michael Crumpton.
“Foxx” Crumpton, 20, was driving a Hyundai Elantra when he ran a red light and crashed into a Chevy Silverado pickup truck at the intersection of E. Fairfield Dr & N Palafox St., in Pensacola, FL.

A sheriff’s deputy was attempting make contact with Crumpton who fled the scene and ran a red light.

Crumpton was ejected during the violent crash.
He was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with a vehicle ejection.
The driver of the Chevy pickup truck and the driver of a second truck, which was also struck, were uninjured in the wreck.
The investigation is ongoing.
