NY Man Ron Shammas ID’d As Victim In Saturday Fatal Brooklyn Crash After Suffering “Medical Episode”

BROOKLYN, NY. (THECOUNT) — Ronald Shammas has been identified as the victim in an early Saturday morning crash in Brooklyn.

Shammas, 61, died while operating a vehicle on Fifth Avenue and 94th Street when he suffered a medical episode, sideswiped another car and struck a traffic light pole in Brooklyn early Saturday, police said.

Shammas was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigation revealed Shammas was traveling east on 92nd Street when he suffered a medical episode and lost control of his vehicle while making a right turn onto Fifth Avenue, said police. source

No other injuries were reported, police said.
