WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — The DC stabbing death of jobber, Wendy Martinez, may have been racially motivated, reports WUSA.

Wednesday, 23-year-old Anthony Crawford of Northwest D.C. was arrested in the stabbing death of Wendy Martinez and now officials are saying the murder may have been motivated by the suspect’s hatred of “white people.”

Investigators are looking into the possibility that Martinez’s murder might have been “racially motivated” because Crawford “does not like white people.” A source also said that Crawford has a history of mental illness and K2 addiction. K-2, also known as “spice”, is a synthetic marijuana that is banned in the U.S. source

(ORIGINAL STORY:) Wendy Martinez has been identified as the jogger stabbed to death by a suspect while she was working out near Logan Circle on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, according to DC police.

Police say the victim was “out for a jog,” just before 8 p.m. at when the fatal attack happened.

(ORIGINAL STORY:) DC police said a woman was out for a jog just before 8 p.m. when she was stabbed to death at 11th street and O street in Northwest in Logan Circle on Tuesday.

Three male suspects are being sought in the brutal killing.

Investigators say said female victim stumbled bloodied into a nearby take-out restaurant where she collapsed.

She was transported Code 3 to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead as a result of her injuries, police announced early Wednesday morning.

Authorities said they’re looking for at least three suspects in the attack. Officials described the suspects as men, two who were wearing white T-shirts and white hats and one man who was wearing a mustard-colored shirt. source
