JOHNSTOWN, CO. (THECOUNT) — Johnstown Officer Yuri Thomas, has been identified as the body pulled from a northern Colorado reservoir Monday.
The Johnstown Police Department confirmed the sad news, saying that one of their own drowned in a Colorado waterway while visiting the area with his wife.
Thomas’ wife say they were visiting the Horsetooth Reservoir Monday afternoon when he went underwater and didn’t resurface.

The wife immediately called 911, and searchers found Thomas about 45 feet from the shore. He had been underwater for almost an hour.
Thomas was pulled from a spot south of a designated swim beach and outside the buoyed area.
