SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA. (THECOUNT) — Chaitanya Datla of Cameron Park, California, has been identified as the body recovered from Lake Tahoe.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the body recovered from Lake Tahoe is that of 33-year-old Datla who was reported missing after jumping in the lake.
Datla had disappeared a week earlier after jumping into Lake Tahoe without a life jacket.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit, Marine 7 recovered a body Monday from a depth of 1,062 feet in Lake Tahoe. The recovery was made while searching for a missing person who reportedly drowned the week before. The name of the person found Monday has not been released. source
