BAKER CITY, OR. (THECOUNT) — Mitchelle Dean Segerdahl, of Baker City, has been identified as the victim found dead of apparent dog bites at his Oregon home.
Polie located, Segerdahl, 53, and a pair of pit bulls, dead in the home during a welfare check. Officials said they later euthanized another four pit bulls found at the residence.
Authorities say, Segerdahl may have been killed when he tried to break up a dog fight while inside his home.

The cause of death was listed as a dog bite to the neck.
Two pit bulls were also dead in the house, while Baker City police impounded and later euthanized four others found there.
Baker City is a city in and the county seat of Baker County, Oregon, United States. It was named after Edward D. Baker, the only U.S. Senator ever killed in military combat. The population was 9,828 at the 2010 census, according to Wikipedia.
