NEW BRITAIN, PA. (THECOUNT) – Jason Lutey of New Britain, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the man arrested over the murder of his girlfriend, Colleen Patterson, Friday in Bucks County.

Lutey, 42, been charged with the murder after the body of 46-year-old Patterson, of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, was found in the trunk of his car Friday night, authorities announced Saturday.

Officers responded to near 100 Keeley Ave, in New Britain, PA, around 8:30 p.m. after Lutey’s sister told police that her brother had killed his girlfriend at the home the couple shared.

Police arrived on the scene to find Patterson’s body wrapped in a white cloth in the back of Lutey’s 2018 Toyota Highlander SUV, which was parked outside of the home.

The homicide investigation is ongoing.

A preliminary hearing for Lutey is slated for Thursday, Sept. 18.
