TX Man ID’d: Shoots San Antonio GF Then Runs Over With Vehicle As She Called Mother For Help

SAN ANTONIO, TX. (THECOUNT) — San Antonio police have announced the arrest of Joshua Garcia, 20, who has been charged in the murder of Erin Castro.

Garcia shot the 19-year-old woman on the city’s Northwest Side and then ran her over in a vehicle. According to reports, the young woman called her mother saying she had been stabbed, but was unsure of her location.

Police said the female’s mother told them her daughter had contacted her, saying she had been stabbed but that she didn’t know where she was. That’s when Garcia turned the vehicle on the woman.

Officers arrived to find Castro at the location with massive trauma to her entire body, and investigators said they believe she may have been stabbed in the neck just before being run over multiple times. source

Police said Castro had an on-again, off-again relationship with Garcia.

An arrest warrant affidavit said that Garcia admitted to investigators that he jumped in the car and ran her over in fear of her calling police.

Garcia now faces a charge of murder.
