MAUMEE, OH (THECOUNT) — Nathan Soto, of Liberty Center, Ohio, has been identified as the victim killed Thursday after a vehicle veered off the roadway and struck him west of Fallen Timbers.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says, Soto, 42, a construction worker at Gerken Paving, died when crash investigators say a vehicle travelling eastbound on U.S. Route 24 near Waterville Township went off the right side of the road and struck Soto.
Michael Massucci, 34, was driving was eastbound on US 24 and was switching from the left to right lane. source
Soto was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
The Highway Patrol says they aren’t sure what caused Massucci to veer off the road.
The crash remains under investigation.
