KATY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Nicholas D’Agostino has been identified as the Texas driver who has admitted to shooting at random woman drivers, traveling next to him, on five separate occasions, because he thinks women are “incompetent” drivers.

D’Agostino, 29, firstly blamed a road rage shooting he committed on a female driver as “self-defense,” saying the woman swerved in his lane, but later he admitted to authorities he had done it before — “maybe five times.”

Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office say that D’Agostino has targeted female drivers specifically on the streets of Katy and the surrounding area.

Officials cited Facebook posts in which he described female drivers as “incompetent” writing “that their sole purpose is to give birth to male children,” according to those court documents.

D’Agostino spent six weeks in jail after allegedly shooting a 39-year-old woman driving in Katy in July. He was released after posting the $75,000 bond in his case, so prosecutors argued for a higher bond on the next charge, according to the court documents.

The 39-year-old Katy mother and her family say they are worried that D’Agostino would harm someone else before his trial.
