PITTSBURGH, PA. (THECOUNT) — Pennsylvania woman, Jhenea Pratt, has been identified as the Pittsburgh mother arrested in the death of her 17-month-old daughter Friday night.
Police arrested, Pratt, 23, after her daughter, Charlette Napper-Talley, died of a fatal does of fentanyl, administered via the child’s sippy cup, according to an arrest report.
Charlette Napper-Talley was pronounced dead on April 5 at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC after her mother, Jhenea Pratt, called 911 to say the girl was unresponsive. source
Pittsburgh police say an autopsy found a fatal amount of the powerful synthetic opioid in the baby’s system and in a cup recovered from the scene and taken into evidence.
Pratt was placed in custody and transported in the Allegheny County Jail, Second Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, on charges of criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.
