(ORIGINAL STORY) Christina Carlin-Kraft, a former model, was found murdered inside her suburban Philadelphia home, authorities said Thursday.
Lower Merion Township police say they were performing a welfare check on a woman when Carlin-Kraft, 36, was discovered deceased Wednesday night, police said.
Police found the former model strangled inside her condo’s bedroom in the 100 block of Sibley Avenue, Ardmore, PA, authorities said.
Officers had been to her condo on Saturday investigating a possible robbery – but it wasn’t immediately clear if that crime had anything to do with Carlin-Kraft’s death, law enforcement sources told WTXF-TV. An autopsy has been performed and the coroner ruled the model’s death a homicide caused by “ligature strangulation,” the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. source
Police and prosecutors didn’t immediately disclose a possible motive for the slaying. But the Montgomery County DA said: “There does not appear to be any current concern for residents in the area.”
