SWEET GRASS COUNTY, Montana (WPBN/WGTU) — The body of a Michigan man found in the Montana mountains has been identified as Brett A. Barron.

Barron, 39, was named as the man found in the Crazy Mountains Wednesday, according to Sheriff Dan Tornrud of the Sweet Grass County Sheriff’s Office, who said Barron’s body was found in a steep rocky chute in mountain.

Records show Barron was volunteering with the Rocky Mountain Goat Alliance on a collaborative project with the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks. source

Autopsy reports show Barron died of blunt force trauma to the head and body.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
