JERSEY CITY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Takeela Wilson has been identified as the New Jersey woman found fatally stabbed Sunday afternoon in Jersey City.
Jersey City police officers responded to 391 Forrest Street, Jersey City, NJ, at approximately 4:30 p.m. Sunday and found Wilson unresponsive in her apartment.
Arriving officers initially responded to Forrest Street on calls of a woman experiencing a medical event.
Authorities initially responded to a call of a woman suffering from cardiac arrest in the apartment, but they discovered that Wilson had a stab wound to her torso, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. source
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her death has been ruled a domestic homicide.
She leaves behind at least two daughters.
No arrests have been made and no suspect information or a motive in the fatal stabbing was immediately released.
