COLUMBUS, GA. (THECOUNT) — The body pulled from the Chattahoochee River on Saturday has been identified.

Sean Fuller, 42, was named with the help of fingerprints and a photograph that were used by officials to positively identify the victim.

Columbus Police received a call about a body floating in the river between the 13th street bridge and the Dillingham Street bridge around noon. He says, “Around noon a jogger saw what appeared to be a body floating near the Dillingham Street bridge” According to Deputy Coroner Charles Newton, it looks like the body had been in the river for at least a day. source

Authorities noted Fuller’s body showed signs of injuries to the back of the head but it is not certain what might have caused those injuries.

Fuller’s body is being taken to Atlanta for an Autopsy.

The investigation into his death is still underway.
