HADDAM, CT (THECOUNT) — Jose Maldonado, of Windsor Locks, CT, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed following a single-vehicle crash in Haddam.
Maldonado, 41, was traveling on Connecticut 9 in Haddam, near exit 9 around 7:30 p.m. Monday when the fatal crash occurred, according to state police.
State police said he lost control of the motorcycle while heading around a right hand curve and collided with a metal beam guardrail in the left shoulder. source
A Life Star helicopter was called to transport Maldonado to an area hospital, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
