WARREN COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Robert D. Barnette, of Eagle Lake, has been identified as the man killed in a Warren County motorcycle crash.
Barnette, 65, died after a motorcycle he was operating on MS-465 in Vicksburg, exited the roadway for an unknown reason and crashed into a mailbox.
The motorcycle flipped and came to rest on top of the rider, according to reports.
According to Cpl. Kervin Stewart with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Barnette ran off the road, hit a mailbox and flipped. The motorcycle landed on top of the driver. source
Barnette was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
A crash investigation is ongoing.
