HANOVER, VA. (THECOUNT) — Lisa Monaghan, of Hanover, has been identified as the woman killed in a single-car crash Sunday, according to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.
Monaghan, 52, was operating a 2006 Dodge Durango when it exited the roadway for an unknown reason and slipped down a steep embankment. The female driver suffered major blunt force trauma injuries as a result of the crash.
The crash occurred before 4:30 p.m. on Kings Acres Road near Washington Highway. source
Monaghan was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
