BLACKWELL, OK (THECOUNT) — Authorities have identified a man who was found dead in the parking lot of an Oklahoma motel on Monday evening as Deepkuner Vhakta. Police have deemed the death a homicide.
Vhakta, 25, was found dead Monday evening after police responded to a call of an unwanted person on the premises at the Best Way Inn, located at I-35 and West Doolin Avenue in Blackwell, OK.
Upon arrival, officer discovered Vhakta suffering from blunt force trauma to the head, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Once officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a man’s body in the parking lot of the motel next to a vehicle. Investigators at the scene told local reporters that the victim appeared to have suffered trauma to his head. However, it will be up to the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine his exact cause of death. source
Officials say Vhakta was the property manager at the inn.
Authorities have not released a motive in the killing. It was not reveal if any property was taken during the commission of the crime.
