DALLAS, TX. (THECOUNT) — Randy Lamone Chiles has been identified as the Dallas man arrested after calling 911 to say something was wrong with a woman at a northwest Dallas apartment.
Chiles, 28, was booked Saturday afternoon on a capital murder charge in the slaying of 28-year-old Jennifer Moore, after she was found dead in bed with a gunshot wound to the head.
Chiles’ mother told police she found Moore laying lifeless on a bed in the apartment at around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday after her son had informed her that “something was wrong” with the woman. Chiles’ mother says she instructed Chiles to call 911 and then discovered the victim.
Officers responded to a 911 call to a home in the 2800 block of Clydedale Drive, claiming something was wrong with a woman in the home. That call was believed placed by Chiles.
Moore, who was five months pregnant, died from a gunshot wound in the head, according to the Dallas County medical examiner. source
Officers also found Chiles in the apartment and a gun on the floor.
A motive in the killing was not provided.
The investigation is ongoing.
