EL PASO, TX. (THECOUNT) — G’s Cutz and Clips owner, Nasheed Anwaar, has been identified as the man killed Friday by a teen driver Friday.
The local El Paso business owner died after being struck and killed by a teenage driver while on his way to check on his barber shop around 11:30 p.m. Friday.
The tragic crash occurred in northeast El Paso on Hayes Ave and Dyer St, according to EPPD.
Nasheed Anwaar was on his way to check on his barber shop around 11:30 p.m. Friday, according to his employee, Davaras Bronson. He was hit and killed by an 18-year-old driver, according to police. source
El Paso police said the incident was initially considered a hit-and-run until the driver returned to the scene and told officers what happened.
The driver was charged with an accident involving death. The driver’s mug shot and name have not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
