SWANSEA, MA. (THECOUNT) — Jose Pacheco has been identified as the man killed after being struck by a vehicle while operating a bicycle in Swansea, MA Saturday.
Pacheco, 76, was ejected from a bicycle after being involved in a collision with a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 46-year-old woman from Somerset, according to authorities. Authorities did not identify the woman driver.
The crash occurred at 9:22 a.m. in the 500 block of Bark Street in Swansea.
Pacheco suffered blunt force trauma injuries and was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.
The operator of the bicycle, 76-year-old Jose Pacheco, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he later died of his injuries, according to police. source
