MOORESVILLE, NC. (THECOUNT) — Former North Carolina teacher, Jonathan Busch, was arrested and accused of sex offenses with a minor female — the same girl disgraced politician Anthony Weiner infamously sexted. An offense that sent him to prison in 2016.
Busch, 54, is charged with statutory rape of a child under the age of 15 and indecent liberties with a child. He was arrested Thursday in Gaston County, which is where Weiner’s teenage victim reportedly lives, a report says.
The former teacher used to be employed by Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, but the girl was not a student. School officials told the Charlotte Observer that Busch resigned this week. They said that alleged incidents with the minor “did not occur” on campus.
Busch was arrested Thursday and later released on bond.
