ESTILL COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Steve Rison has been identified as the victim killed following a crash in Estill County that injured several people Wednesday night.
Rison, 48, was traveling on Miller Creek Road near an American Legion outpost located just off KY-1571 in Ravenna, when the fatal two-vehicle crash occurred, officials said in an accident report.
Kentucky State Police say Stephen D. Rison, 48, from Irvine was driving eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle. Rison’s vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with another vehicle.
Officials say, following the impact, Rison’s vehicle exited the roadway and came to a rest on the other side of the railroad tracks.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 39-year0old Aimee Elliott. She was transported along with her unidentified passenger to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigating into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
According to Facebook, Rison graduated Estill County High School. He was a resident of Irvine, Kentucky.
