NEW BRITAIN, CT (THECOUNT) – Police have identified the man killed Sunday while operating a motorcycle in New Britain, CT, as Bernard Wallen.

Wallen, 26, was traveling on a motorcycle when he came in contact with a vehicle driven by an unidentified female. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene until police arrived.

New Britain police said Wallen, of Newington, suffered serious life-threatening injuries, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. source

Crash investigators said Wallen was entering the intersection of West Main Street & Grove Hill Road, New Britain, CT., just after 2:30 p.m. when the fatal crash occurred.

Police said the driver of the automobile, a 30-year-old Terryville woman, is fully cooperating with police.

Charges are not expected to be filed at this time as Police continue to investigate.
