Roger Little, of Ladson, has been identified as the South Carolina man killed in an explosive crash involving a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office SUV.
Little, 70, was operating a Cadillac while traveling on College Park Road near the intersection of Miami Street at approximately 7:39 p.m. Sunday when the fatal crash occurred.
The driver of the deputy SUV was able to flee his vehicle moments before it, along with Little’s vehicle, burst in flames.
Little died Wednesday from injuries sustained in the weekend crash.
According to Highway Patrol, Little was in a Cadillac that failed to yield the right of way on College Park Road when they were turning which caused a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office SUV to strike the Cadillac. Highway Patrol officials say two Berkeley County deputies in the SUV were wearing seat belts and were transported to Trident Hospital. Little of the Cadillac was also wearing a seat belt. source
“As deputies approached the intersection in their Ford Interceptor, a Cadillac sedan turned into the path of the deputy’s vehicle, he said.”
