New York City man, Oscar Alvarez has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his pregnant girlfriend, Liv Abreu, multiple times, then preventing the victim from seeking medical attention for at least 30 minutes before fleeing the scene, Tuesday morning.
Alvarez, 30, has been charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, after critically injuring Abreu, 30, and killing their unborn child, police said Wednesday.

Abreu, who was 26 weeks pregnant at the time, was taken to the hospital in critical condition and her unborn baby died, police said.
