A woman is dead and a juvenile male was transported to an area hospital after Frederick Police responded to reports of a double shooting at a Weybridge Road residence early on Mother’s Day, according to authorities.
Investigators say they do not think the shooting is a domestic-related incident at this time but – they did not elaborate.
Frederick Police say they were called to a home in the the 1800 block of Weybridge Road at around 1:46 a.m. Officers say they found the woman shot in the upper body and the male shot in the lower leg. Both police and medical crews tried to treat the woman but she died at the scene. The male was taken to a trauma center with non-life threatening injuries, officials say. source
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the incident to contact police at their local 911.
