Sierra Chavez has been identified as the Texas woman killed following a single-vehicle accident late Friday night.
Around 11:15 PM, Amarillo police were dispatched to the 2000 block of South Arthur Street on a report of an accident.
27-year-old Raquel Sierra Chavez was driving in the area before losing control of her vehicle. The vehicle then rolled, and Chavez was ejected. source
She was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of her injuries.
Chavez was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Speed, alcohol are believed to be factors in her death.
The Amarillo Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
