Devin Yocum, an assistant coach at Bardstown High School and head coach at Bardstown Middle School, has been arrested and charged with engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a female student under the age of 18.
Yocum, 37, was charged with sodomy after police say he had a 17-year-old female student perform a sex act on him on at least two occasions.
He is also accused of sending a nude image of himself to the victim’s cellphone.
During a police interview with the victim, Yocum allegedly called her on the phone, “with intent to affect the testimony of the witness.”
According to an arrest report, Yocum ultimately admitted to the sex acts and to sending the pornographic image to the student.
He was arrested May 9 and charged with two counts of third-degree sodomy, possession or viewing of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and tampering with a witness. He is currently being held in the Nelson County Detention Center. source
