Eskinder Dawit Asefaw, has been named as the 26-year-old man who died in the hospital after he was shot in east Charlotte Friday evening, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
CMPD responded to a call in the 1500 block of Wembley Drive a little before 5 p.m. Friday. Upon arrival, officers found a man, identified as Asefaw, with an apparent gunshot wound.
Asefaw was pronounced dead at the hospital on Saturday morning, CMPD said. source
Officials did not say if a suspect has been identified in this deadly incident.
