Chestyna and Jamaica Twitty, were found lifeless in a bedroom on the second floor of a home on East Maplewood Avenue in the North Riverdale neighborhood, mydaytondailynews reports.
Chestyna, 41, and Jamaica, 36, were found dead inside a home in north Dayton on Saturday night, and authorities say they located “white powder” on a nearby bookshelf, according to a police report.
The crime scene is located less than a mile up the road from a section of the North Main Street corridor that has received a lot of attention because the bodies of five women were found closeby. A paramedic on scene called both women as deceased and the Montgomery County Coroner’s office was contacted. Investigators discovered a small bag of marijuana near the women’s bodies as well as a metal plate containing a “large amount of white powder” and a dollar bill rolled up into a straw, the report states. source
The coroner was going to perform a full autopsy on the women but the preliminary cause of death was not available as of Sunday morning.
Family members were notified, and the drugs were collected for destruction because there were small children in the home and authorities didn’t want them to accidentally come into contact with the substances, the report states.
