Morgantown police named Colton Hodge as the West Virginia University student in critical condition after falling from a balcony.
Hodge, 22, reportedly fell backward over a balcony railing and plunged 30 feet to the ground.
Morgantown Police say they responded to a report of a fall at 400 Forrest Avenue at around 4:49 PM on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018.
Police say that when they arrived they found the Morgantown Fire Department and Monongalia County EMS providing emergency medical treatment to Hodge. According to police, it was reported that Hodge fell backwards over a balcony located more than 30 feet above the ground. Police say he suffered critical injuries and was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. source
