A competency hearing was held Monday for a woman accused in the April Fool’s decapitation of a West Virginia man at his home.
Roena Cheryl Mills from Rural Retreat Virginia, is charged with 2nd-degree murder after her boyfriend was found dead in his home. After arresting a bloody Mills, police say they located the man decapitated. Police found an additional “body part,” believed to belong to the dead man at a separate location.
The victim’s father later told investigators that the two “were dating.”
According to court documents, the murder happened on April 1, 2018, in Lerona, Mercer County.
Deputies were called to Eden Valley Road where they reportedly found Mills covered in blood and wearing a glove on her left hand. She allegedly told officials a false name and said she was cut by being thrown through a glass door. During that time, officers said she became combative and was arrested. In the deputies’ car, Mills reportedly said “you have to take me back and let me get my head.” source
Later that day, investigators said they received a call about a murder on Clover Lane. There, deputies said they found a headless man inside his home. Deputies said they also found “another body part of the victim” in the home where they originally found Mills. Police did not indicate the other body part.
Employees at Southern Regional Jail said Mill was talking about killing someone while she was at the jail.
At Monday’s hearing, the judge ruled Mills needed further evaluation.

I would think that the suspect wouldn't be dating the victim after his head was cut off. Can just anyone be a 'journalist'?
