A major crash on Interstate 270 in Montgomery County has been declared a mass casualty incident, according to authorities.

The Montgomery County Fire Department says medical crews are evaluating more than two dozen people and have taken multiple to the hospital with injuries, including some that are serious. source
Fire officials say the crash happened on I-270 in the area of Middlebrook Road and Montgomery Village Avenue after a tractor-trailer carrying stones and gravel crashed, losing its load.
