Belladonna Loke was found dead in the bedroom of Madden’s residence in Colesville. The child had been staying there with family members since December.

According to court documents, Madden knew her 10-year-old daughter was deceased and “failed to take care of Belladonna’s remains.” At the same time, between Feb. 17 and Feb. 18, Madden allegedly allowed her 2-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son to sleep and play in the same bedroom as her deceased child. source

Madden was not charged in connection with Belladonna’s death.

If convicted, Madden could face up to a year in jail or three years on probation.

Authorities said Belladonna had been suffering from a serious medical condition before her death.

An autopsy was conducted at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton. State police have not released the cause and manner of death.
