When you wish upon a star, you might just get a little something to stash in the cookie jar! The Walt Disney Company has announced a plan to hand out out $1,000 bonuses to all of their U.S. employees.
Disney also unveiled a new $50 million education fund for its hourly workers, according to a statement released Tuesday.
“I am proud we are directing approximately $125 million to our cast members and employees across the country and making higher education more accessible with the launch of this new program,” Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger said. source
The Burbank, Calif.-based entertainment icon said all U.S.-based hourly and part-time employees with the company since Jan. 1, 2018 are eligible for the one-time payouts.
