While some businesses are giving their employees big bonuses on the heels of the new tax plan, Amazon has announced they are raising the dues for millions of monthly Prime Members.
The online retail giant announced today that the Amazon Prime monthly fee is increasing from $10.99 to $12.99 in the U.S., an increase of 18 percent. That’s approximately $156 annually.
Folks who pay their membership yearly will not be affected by this hike as the annual Prime membership will stay at $99. For now..
