Washington State University is reeling after learning a star football player was found dead in his apartment Tuesday afternoon.
Pullman Police released a statement saying officers arrived to find quarterback Tyler Hilinski, 21, dead. Police went there for a welfare check after the young QB failed to show up for practice.
Hilinski was a redshirt sophomore and appeared in several games last season when starter Luke Falk struggled. Hilinski’s best performance was helping WSU come back from 21 points down in the fourth quarter to beat Boise State in triple overtime. source
The Whitman County medical examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.
