Singer Kelly Clarkson Sparks Social Media Debate After Revealing She Spanks Kids

American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, has sparked a conversation on social media after admitting that she sometimes disciplines her children by striking them.

Clarkson, 35, made the revealing comments while appearing on a Rochester, New York-based radio station last week.

“I’m from the south, y’all, so like, we get spankings,” Clarkson explained on the program when it comes to punishing daughter River Rose, 3, and one-year-old Remington 1.

The millionaire crooner, who is now at the center of a social media debate, admitted that she was also struck as a child, “So, my parents spanked me and I did fine in life and I feel fine about it.”

“I’m not above giving a little tough love,” Clarkson concluded.
