D.C. Police officer, Sgt. Tony Mason, was shot and killed early Saturday morning in Baltimore as he sat in a vehicle, according to authorities. He was 40.
An unidentified woman was also found shot at the scene. She was taken to an area hospital and treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.

Mason. was found with multiple bullet wounds in his upper body in the 2800 block of Elgin Avenue after officers were called to the scene at around 12:45 a.m., said Baltimore Police. source
Mason was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, officials say.
