Brownfield, Texas, resident, Martha L Depoyster, has been identified by Texas DPS as the woman killed in a crash that happened in northern Terry County around 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Depoyster, 52, was operating a minivan with three young children inside at the intersection of US 385 and CR 200, about 13 miles north of Brownfield when she was involved in a crash with a truck tractor semi-trailer, said DPS.
The children, a three-year-old and two nine-year-olds were all taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the semi, 43-year-old Jose Alvaro Arreola Beltran of Tuscon, Arizona, was not injured. The investigation revealed the minivan crossed the center stripe on a curve in the road. The semi driver tried to avoid the collision but was unable to. The semi rolled on its right side in the east ditch and the minivan came to rest upright in the northeast ditch. source
