Lafayette Police Department identified John Adams as last night’s homicide victim. Adams was 48. His son, Damarkus Adams, has been taken into custody over the murder.

The victim in last night’s homicide has been identified as 48 year old John Adams. The suspect was the victim’s 25 year old son, Damarkus Adams. (b/m,5-24-92) Damarkus Adams was arrested on the charge of Second Degree Murder.” source
Just after 10 p.m. Friday, police say they received a call in reference to a shooting and arrived to find the victim dead inside the home. Police are calling the events leading up to the victims death a “domestic incident.” An investigation is ongoing. source
